Text: [Main Text]Isaiah 40:29-31 Supporting Text - Mathew 28:18-20 & Mark 16:15

INTRODUCTION

- [ ] There’s always a vacant office in every generation and God seeks to raise people to occupy such offices so His will is done and bring Him glory. He picks ANYONE that is ready for such a call. 

- [ ] In this generation there are many high offices Christians must rise up to occupy- in BUSINESS AND COMMERCE, INDUSTRY, ACADEMIA, CIVIL SOCIETY, SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP, GOVERNANCE, POLITICS etc. 

- [ ] The office is vacant and God has destined  us to occupy it. It is now left with us to “MOUNT UP” and OCCUPY the place.

MOUNTING UP

- [ ] Mounting up is to rise up to a higher level, to soar higher

- [ ] Mounting up is shooting up to join the top echelon , the high and mighty, the influential, the creme de la creme. It is to rise to become a factor of influence and work hard to reach a place of prominence.

- [ ] When we wait on God, He grants us the strength to rise up and to soar to higher heights in life.

- [ ] In life, there’s no congestion at the top because few ever gets there. Life is a PYRAMID. The congestion is always at the base. No CONGESTION at the top. The base level is always choked…

Eg. The eminent will never fight for a public transport even if there’s traffic jam, the police would have to escort them. What are you saying?

- The prominent will never queue for food. 

- The prominent will never queue to use the public washroom

But at the base level, don’t try it - whilst you are at it, someone knocks at the door, please cut it short okay so that we all can help ourselves out

Church, let us take into consideration the word NATION in the text. In GREEK, the word NATION is translated ETHNOS which means TRIBE, RACE, LANGUAGE, CULTURE, anything that stands for group of people.

This is a typical example of what we see in some renowned men of God like Rheinhand Bonkie and even the church does that by going for outreaches etc. However, 

in Mark 16:15 - We see Jesus saying “Go into ALL THE WORLD and preach the gospel.

Church, you and I will testify to the fact that, there’s only one world - nothing more nothing else but then, Jesus’ admonished us to go to all the worlds. What then did He mean?

In Greek, all the world is translated “KOSMOS” meaning ANYTHING SYSTEMIZE [anything programmed by man], ORDERLY etc. 

Eg. Education [G.E.S], Health [Ghana Health Service], Civil Society, I.T WORLD, SECURITY SERVICE, ACADEMIA, BUSINESS AND COMMERCE, MEDIA, GOVERNANCE, POLITICS etc.

In other words, God is telling you to go into the Millitary and preach there, go into Politics and preach there, go into Education and preach there, go into I.T WORLD and preach there [designing Christian animation for our kids. [This reminds me of an animation I chanced on sometime ago…”The new super man - at a point, two of the male animates [cartoons] were having sex - what are they trying to inculcate in our kids - same sex marriage? YES. That is why God needs people to occupy such places. 

You are there or will be there working to earn salary but the purpose of you being there is to capture men for God so that the system of the world will be as though the system of God. NO COMPROMISING. God needs us to change the status quo so that the people in the POLICE SERVICE will be policing with the heart of Christ. All these areas are concerned to God.

Church! It is of great opportunity to help people at all cost and not to use your office to abuse people.

Come on. It’s just nice to be nice.

But you know, sometimes people get worried at us for not taking a dime from them after helping them eg. The lady who thought the commissioner for oath wasn’t authentic etc

Like Esther, who knows if God has brought you here in times like this to rescue us…Esther 4:14

For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

We all cannot be Pastors, Elder, Deacons, Deaconess, Bishops etc. Truth is, God wants His people to TAKE OVER every vacant position in our world. 

2 Corinthians 2:14

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.

EXEGESIS OF ISAIAH 40:29-31

Isaiah teaches timeless principles:

- [ ] Physical strength cannot accomplish much - “even youths grow tired and weary.” 

- [ ] God’s strength enables us but we must mount up [Flap our wings and rise up] crawl if you can’t walk, walk if you can’t run, run if you can fly and keep flying higher if you can. We shouldn’t sit idle - we ought to do something 

- [ ] Scripture is calling us to rise to do something bigger and greater with the strength we have received from God. 

Today I came to challenge you to rise to do something greater and bigger. What is the biggest thing you recently did? Mounting up requires doing uncommon things, that prepares us for the vacant seats in our generation.

CLARION CALL 

Mount up! After you have waited on God. Mount up! Laziness kills destiny.

Do something! Take a course. Learn a new trade. God bless you
