AAMUSTED students complain about insufficient of chairs

Image
While students complain about inadequate of chairs, some chairs were found under the rain. "Today after lectures, I found these desk left whiles it was raining... If we complain of inadequate chairs and the little we have are treated this way, what's the motivation for buying another one... Let's all advise ourselves..." Anonymous  They were left in the rain by the electoral commission officials in charge of the exhibition process. I think they thought the small roof covering the notice board could shield the desks from the rain. Such a shame  AAMUSTED students are told not to blame anyone of inadequate of chairs because they are their own problem when it comes to how to take care of the facilities.

THE REASON WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR STEPHEN SIKA-WIAFE AS THE NEXT AAMUSTED SRC PRESIDENT.

Image
Very soon will be seeing Asparants of the various portfolio in our halls, hostels doing campaign, flooding social media platforms with motivational words and flyers. Most people vote for the wrong person and at the end we don't see any result this is because there is corruption and self interest in the system. Without a doubt we should choose someone who fears God, if the person fears God then we can trust that  He will serve the people.  Sika- wiafe is an Elder of the church of Pentecost, a level 200 English student in AAMUSTED, His ambition in politics is not a surprise because as an Elder of COP He wants to possess the campus for Christ. He is friendly, hardworking, intelligent, and God-fearing . We should give him the opportunity. kindly like my page, follow, comment and share.  God richly bless you.

UTAG STRIKE , WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AFTER 4TH MARCH?

Image
The UTAG strike has been suspended but not called off, and the UTAG members on the various campus are voting to accept or reject the decision to suspend the strike until 4 th of this month which is this coming Friday. Meanwhile, students and lecturers have been asked to report to the classroom. We have seen in various campuses this week teaching and learning activities going on. But some students have not still reported because they don't know what will be the decision after the 4th march, of course, we don't know yet. For those staying far, it is a confusion, coming to school to spend just a week, and if the strike resume then you have to go back home.  Yesterday we have lectures and we were only 10 out of 100 students who came. Some of them called that they are confused, what will be the decision of UTAG after Friday?  This is the question students are asking every day?  I asked this question a lecturer in AAMUSTED campus today 1 first march and his answer was eve...

HOW TO AVOID SEX FOR GRADES AS A STUDENT.

Image
Sex for grades has now become conventional in most of our universities in Africa including the University of Ghana. Mostly female students are more vulnerable to these acts than male students.  Studying to get good grades is a sacrifice and determination ( sleepless nights, balancing schedules among others). Some students even boost their grades to their friends that are because of the system applauding grades than what the students can do.  Many females have been marked unfairly just because they did not accept to exchange their sex for the grades and this has proven to have a great negative impact on those female students. study has shown that many female students who have been victims of sexual abuse in exchange for grades have mental health challenges such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. . Have self-confidence. Put more effort into your studies. Many have lost self-confidence in putting more effort to study some courses because they believe even if ...

Image
Before we get started let me share my experience with you, that was level 100 a classmate female friend started developing something for me, I cant tell as to whether it is genius but for me, I kept questioning my felling for her, can I love this girl? am I ready to be in a relationship with her? can I combine study with her troubles? well to cut long story short, I had to let her know that I don't like it though it was difficult because meet her always. Dating on the campus is a mystery and everything can go wrong . Just imagine you are sitting by your ex at lectures or in a group study after a bad breakup, how will you feel? can you take it? You may see them at lunch, they could be in the same hostel, so be emotionally mature before going in for one anud tread with caution. University is not like high school, you are not under the supervision of your parents, you are mature and responsible for your choice, if you have a girlfriend or boyfriend before coming to campus, it is pos...

Students and ongoing UTAG strike

Image
Following the UTAG strike, some students in various campuses  have shared their views as to whether it is affecting them or not. As at now there is no teaching and learning activities going on in various universities, students are just going round doing their own things, campus is really boring now . Just some few students are doing their own studies. Some have gone back home.     Some level 100 students have said that the strike is really affecting them because they are not learning, also their provisions are getting finished. Some too have said that it is not affecting them because they are not stressed out by assignments and learning.  We are all praying that the government will shallow his ego and do they necessary for us to go back to the classroom.
Students to go on peaceful demonstration over UTAG strike.  Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Academic and Students’ Affairs at the University of Ghana (Pro VC ASA), Prof. Gordon Awandare, says the law does prescribe universities in the country to shut down 21 days after no academic work. According to him, such a decision is economically driven as careful consideration is taken on the institution’s cost for the university’s smooth running. He explained that providing students with social amenities such as electricity, water, while academic work is at a halt will in the long run have financial implications on the university. “I don’t think that is a law. It is more of a practical decision in terms of its economics. “If you have students on campus using electricity, water, spending money, putting pressure on the facility and nothing is going on in terms of classroom work, then at a point you have to cut your losses and say, let’s take a break, everybody go home and relax and then when the...

Security on campus.

Dear level 100s, as you have come to university, I want you to know that security on campus has been the headache to many students on various campus. You may have heard of some but let me tell you that there are some things you can do ... 1. You are the first security.  Don't walk from campus to your hostel alone in the night specially during exams time for whatever reason. Walk with someone you know.  2. Don't let any stranger enter your room. Your PC and phone shouldn't be closer to the Windows.  When exams is approaching, thieves also come around in the night because they know that is the time students burn the candle so they cross them on the road to take their belongings, rapes among others. Don't put all your hope on the school securities.  Enjoy your stay on campus.
